Saddle up and step back into the heart of rural Alberta! The Annual Lakeland Country Fair and Rodeo is the premier agricultural and family event of the summer, bringing the community together for a dusty, thrilling, and unforgettable celebration of country life. Whether you’re a rodeo fanatic or just looking for a great family day out, this event delivers non-stop excitement.

Thrilling Rodeo Action: When the chutes open, get ready for high-octane competition. The rodeo features professional and amateur events including barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping, and the crowd-favorite bull riding. Feel the adrenaline as riders battle the clock and the beasts in the arena.

Country Fair Exhibits & Midway: Beyond the arena, the Country Fair showcases the best of Lakeland’s agricultural and domestic talents. Marvel at the giant vegetable exhibits, 4-H animal showcases, quilting, baking, and local artisan crafts. The kids will love the action-packed midway with rides and games, while adults can enjoy cold drinks, classic fair food (think funnel cakes, BBQ, and fresh corn), and live country music as the sun goes down.

Know Before You Go: This is an outdoor, dusty event—wear your boots and bring a bandana! Cash is recommended for midway games and some food vendors, though major vendors accept cards. Gates open at noon, with rodeo performances kicking off at 2:00 PM and the evening concert starting at 8:00 PM.
